FOX Sports to undergo network rebranding across Asia
As part of the wide-scale network upgrade, three new channel brands will be in HD, more languages will be available as well as better sports content.

Singapore – FOX International Channels (FIC) announced on July 4 that it will implement a wide-scale upgrade to its FOX Sports Asia network, effective August 15. The change will see the network rebrand its portfolio of channels which currently include FOX Sports, FOX Sports Plus HD, STAR Sports to FOX Sports, FOX Sports 2 and FOX Sports 3, all of which will be available in both SD and HD. This change will take effect in all countries across Asia where FOX Sports network channels are available, with the exception of China and South Korea where the STAR Sports brand will be offered. FOX Sports News and FOX Football Channel HD will remain unchanged and FOX Sports Play and FOX Sports Mobile will continue to be the network's non-linear play.

Since launching FOX Sports in Asia in January 2013, FIC has been steadily committed to its mission of changing the sports broadcasting landscape in this region and bringing to audiences not only the sports they want to see, but also the best possible viewing experience. The launch of FOX Sports, FOX Sports 2 and FOX Sports 3 along with the following upgrade plans all underscore this commitment:

3 new channel brands in HD

With this trio of premium sports channels, all available in HD, viewers no longer have to choose when more than one of their favourite sports are on at the same time. In addition, each channel will cater to distinct group of sports fans.

FOX Sports – The Flagship Channel

Understanding that tastes differ across the region however, FOX Sports is also committed to catering to local preferences by bringing locally relevant and popular sports to specific countries, such as the Badminton World Federation (BWF) in Indonesia and Philippines Basketball Association (PBA) games in the Philippines. The network is investing in producing pre-and-post shows on-the-ground with the aim of presenting fans across Asia with a more customised viewing experience. In addition, FOX Sports re-launches on August 15 with a brand new state-of-the-art 1500 square feet studio in Singapore, with a video wall and 95 inch touch screen along with a new 1100 square feet virtual studio.

Commenting on why FIC is implementing these sweeping changes to the FOX Sports Asia network Joon Lee, EVP of Content & Communications for APAC and Middle East said, “Since we've taken over ESPN STAR Sports in 2012 and re-launched it as FOX Sports, our vision has always been to shake things up and change the sports broadcasting paradigm is this region. Sports viewing is surprisingly relatively low across Asia but those who do watch are passionate sports fans. Our aim is to service those die-hard fans but also open up sports viewing to new audiences in a big way. Watching sports in Asia should be a family affair, it should speak to women as much as it does traditionally to men, we should be inspiring kids to play sports and be active. Berikut adalah beberapa satelit yang akan diluncurkan untuk kawasan Asia dan sekitarnya di bulan Agustus ini.
Kalau tidak ada perubahan, yang paling terdekat adalah satelit Asiasat 8 yang akan launching pada 4 Agustus 2014 ini, yaitu besok hari.

Pemerintah Iran secara resmi melarang penggunaan antena parabola untuk menangkap siaran pemancar asing. Tapi kebanyakan warga Iran tidak peduli dan tetap berjuang untuk memperoleh informasi bebas.

apakah ini menjadi penyebab terjadinya penurunan signal IRIB grup di ST2 KU?

Jakarta – Pada 1 November 2014 mendatang MTV akan memeperluas jangkauan penonton di Indonesia dengan menggandeng empat stasiun TV lokal di lima kota besar yakni Jakarta, Bandung, Surabya, Banjarmasin, dan Makasar. Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) asal, salah satu divisi perusahaan Viacom, mengumumkan ekspansi MTV ke Indonesia. Mark Whitehead, selaku Executive Vice Presiden & Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks Asia mengatakan pihaknya menggandeng FORTE, bagian dari Karsa Grup, partner dalam bidang marketing dan distribusi penjualan MTV di Indonesia.

Dikutip dari laman resmi Sabtu (18/10/2014) Mark Whitehead mengatakan “Sebagai merek global terbesar dan yang paling menonjol untuk anak muda, MTV sangat menikmati ikatan yang kuat dengan generasi muda Indonesia melalui berbagai acara dengan menyajikan acara dengan konten yang sesuai dan berpengalaman di dunia ini,” ucapnya. Dengan menyiarkan secara lebih luas, Mark ingin memperlihatkan komitmen dalam memperkuat ikatan dengan penonton lokal dan membuat acara tertentu yang diminati oleh generasi muda Indonesia.

Pada 2015 mendatang, FORTE akan mengembangkan MTV lewat beberapa stasiun TV lokal lain di kota-kota Indonesia berikutnya. Siaran 4 jam MTV akan mengudara setiap harinya dari jam 16:00 wib samapi jam 18:00 wib dan jam 22:00 sampai jam 24:00 wib. Melalui kampanye, 1000% YOUTH, MTV mendedikasikan diri menjadi acara TV untuk para generasi muda Indonesia seperti acara top musik internasional, regional dan lokal seperti Chart Attack, MTV Hits, K-Wave (K-pop), Japan Hits (J-Pop).

Selain acara tersebut, MTV juga menghadirkan acara unggulan orisinil MTV, mulai dari acara musik dan hiburan khas MTV dari belahan dunia lainnya seperti MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, MTV World Stage dan MTV Sessions akan disiarkan. Adapun acara, produksi lokal MTV akan memproduksi acara setiap harinya di Indonesia mulai dari awal tahun depan, menampilkan berita dan musik pop internasional dan regional. Acara tersebut dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas musik Indonesia.
